1. Who We Are

PokerEdge AI ("we", "our", or "us") operates the PokerEdge AI website and mobile application (the "Service"), a practice-only poker coaching tool. We are not a gambling operator. No real money is ever wagered, won, or lost through the Service.

2. Information We Collect

Account information. If you choose to create an account, we collect your name and email address. If you sign in with Google or another supported social provider, we receive your name, email address, and profile picture from that provider. We do not receive your social account password.

Gameplay data. We record the hands you play, decisions you make, and the AI coaching suggestions shown to you. This data is used to track your progress and improve coaching quality. It contains no financial information because the Service involves no real money.

Usage and analytics data. We collect standard web analytics information such as pages visited, session duration, device type, operating system, browser type, and general geographic region (country or city level). We use this to understand how the Service is used and to fix issues.

Diagnostics and crash data. If the app crashes or encounters an error, we collect diagnostic information such as the error type, stack trace, device model, and operating-system version through our error-reporting provider. We use this solely to diagnose and fix problems and keep the app stable.

Cookies and similar technologies. We use cookies and local storage to keep you signed in, remember preferences, and collect anonymous usage statistics. See Section 5 for details.

Communications. If you contact us by email, we retain your message and contact details to respond and track support requests.

Subscriptions and purchases. If you buy a premium subscription, the purchase is processed by the Apple App Store or Google Play. We and our subscription management provider (RevenueCat) receive your subscription status, the product purchased, and transaction and renewal identifiers so we can unlock premium features and grant AI credits. We never receive your payment card or bank details.

What we do not collect. We do not collect payment card numbers, bank details, government ID, or any financial account information. The Service does not involve real money.

3. How We Use Your Information

To provide the Service. Your account information lets you sign in and sync progress across devices. Your gameplay data powers the progress dashboard and coaching history.

To power AI coaching. When you play a hand, information about the game state (cards on the table, bet sizes, positions) is sent to third-party AI API providers to generate coaching suggestions. See Section 4 for details. We do not send your name, email, or account identifier to AI providers.

To improve the Service. Aggregated and anonymised usage data helps us understand what features work well and where we should focus development.

To communicate with you. If you opt in, we may send you product updates or tips by email. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in any email.

To comply with the law. We may use or disclose information where required by applicable law, court order, or to protect the rights and safety of users or the public.

4. Third-Party Services

Social login providers. If you sign in with Google (or another supported provider), that provider's own privacy policy governs how they handle your data on their end. We only receive the profile fields you authorise during sign-in and do not share your PokerEdge AI data back to those providers beyond what is needed for authentication.

AI API providers. Game state information is transmitted to third-party AI service providers (such as large-language-model API services) to generate in-hand coaching suggestions. These providers process the data under their own terms and data processing agreements. We select providers who commit to not training on customer data by default and who maintain appropriate security standards. We do not send personally identifiable information such as your name or email to AI providers.

Analytics providers. We use third-party analytics tools to collect aggregated, anonymised usage statistics. These tools may place their own cookies. You can opt out through your browser's cookie settings or through a cookie consent banner where applicable.

Hosting and infrastructure. The Service is hosted on cloud infrastructure providers who process data on our behalf under data processing agreements.

Key service providers. The main providers we use are: Supabase (authentication, database, and hosting of your account and gameplay data); xAI (Grok) and other large-language-model API providers (in-hand AI coaching from game state, with no name or email sent); RevenueCat (subscription management); Sentry (crash and error diagnostics); and Microsoft Clarity and Google Analytics (aggregated product analytics, including anonymised session and usage statistics). Each provider processes data under its own privacy policy and our data processing agreements. This list may change as our providers evolve; the categories above describe how your data is used regardless of the specific vendor.

We do not sell your personal data to third parties.

5. Cookies

Essential cookies keep you signed in and maintain your session. The Service cannot function properly without them.

Analytics cookies collect anonymised data about how pages are used. You can block these through your browser settings or a privacy extension without affecting core functionality.

Preference cookies remember settings such as your chosen game mode or display preferences.

Most browsers allow you to refuse cookies or delete existing ones. Blocking essential cookies will prevent you from staying signed in.

6. Data Retention

We keep your account data and gameplay history for as long as your account is active. When you delete your account, we delete your personal data within 30 days, except where we are required to retain certain records for legal or compliance reasons (for example, in anonymised aggregate form for analytics). Support correspondence is retained for up to 2 years to assist with follow-up queries.

7. Your Rights and Choices

Depending on where you live, you may have rights including:

Access. Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.

Correction. Ask us to correct inaccurate data.

Deletion. Delete your account at any time in the app via Settings → Delete Account, or ask us to delete your account and associated personal data by email. See our Account Deletion page for details.

Portability. Request your gameplay data in a machine-readable format.

Objection. Object to certain processing activities such as marketing emails.

To exercise any of these rights, email us at pokeredgeai@gmail.com. We will respond within 30 days. We may need to verify your identity before processing the request.

If you are located in the European Economic Area, UK, or California, additional rights may apply under GDPR, UK GDPR, or the CCPA respectively.

8. Children's Privacy

The Service is intended for users aged 13 and older. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us with personal data, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.

Users in jurisdictions where the minimum age for digital services is higher (for example, 16 in some EU member states) must meet that local requirement.

9. Data Security

We use industry-standard security measures including encrypted connections (HTTPS), access controls, and secure credential storage. No method of internet transmission is 100% secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect your data and respond promptly to any security incidents.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top and, where appropriate, notify you by email or with an in-app notice. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
